BREAKING: Atlanta Braves General Manager Alex Anthopoulos was captured waking up from what has been dubbed the "longest post-Thanksgiving nap in MLB history." This image has sparked a wave of speculation regarding the Braves' noticeably quiet offseason maneuvers.

The photo shows Anthopoulos, post-feast, with visible remnants of his Thanksgiving meal on his sweater, a testament to the hearty meal provided by his wife. When confronted about his extended slumber and the lack of free agency action, Anthopoulos humorously remarked, "We signed Soto in my dreams." However, when pressed that such dreams don't count in the real world of baseball contracts, he got slightly defensive, attributing his deep sleep to overindulging in his wife's cooking. "I ate seconds, which I shouldn't have," he admitted, a quip that has since circulated among baseball circles.

Reactions from within the Braves' family have been less than amused. Chipper Jones, the legendary third baseman, expressed his disapproval, hinting at the need for a more proactive approach this offseason. Andruw Jones, another Braves icon, shared similar sentiments, suggesting that rest is good, but not at the expense of team strategy.

Manager Brian Snitker, while always supportive of his GM, couldn't help but wish for a quicker return to the drawing board post-nap. Ronald Acuña Jr., the face of the franchise, and pitcher Spencer Strider, both key players for the Braves, have also voiced their preference for a more active front office, especially after last season's performance.

Braves first baseman Marc Olsen, in a light-hearted jab, compared the current GM's approach to his predecessor, Freddie Freeman, stating, "Freddie definitely never did that," implying that such long naps were not part of Freeman's strategy during his tenure.

Anthopoulos, perhaps taking these comments to heart, has vowed to keep himself alert during the Christmas season. "It's going to be Red Bull and coffee with my Christmas meal," he chuckled, adding that his family would be on high alert to prevent any post-dinner snoozes.

As the Braves look to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season, all eyes will be on Anthopoulos. Will he shake off the Thanksgiving slumber and dive into the free agency pool, or will the Braves continue to rely on their current lineup with minimal changes? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: Anthopoulos's nap has become the stuff of baseball lore, a story that will be retold with a mix of humor and concern by fans and players alike.
